how does usps deliver packages...

if i send a package via usps priority mail, will they leave the package at teh person's door if theyre not home? the package is small..but it wont fit in a mailbox..plus its going to an apt complex. also anyone know if they deliver on saturdays?

They deliver on sat.

They will only leave the package if they think it won't be stolen.

Sometimes they will leave it with the leasing office.

Otherwise, they leave a note and hold it at the post office.

They're not going to leave it in some place people can walk by and take it. Unless they're stupid.

cool...do they leave a note on the door if they try to deliver and nobody is home? also....suppose the person is out of town for awhile...does the package go back to the sender or does the post office hold it?

The post office will put a tag on your door and then you can go down to the local post office and pick it up.
