Holy shit... cook that for me every day and you will have a friend for life. Looks great!
cook?? Hell no..why do you think I eat so many oats.....quick in the micro, or I blend them in a shake...........as for my 3rd meal, chicken and yams are pre-cooked on sunday...........meals are simple bro.

as far as the percentages go, they look nice. but it would be better to see some more meat in there... what do u do during the day?

My macros are a little off, as you see, couldnt find the nutrient profile for a few of those foods, so they arent in the total...........any ideas how much it'll change?

I'm a cpa.......office all day or with a client..............I've also switch the 1st meal of oats and whey to oats and tuna.......

i c. egg whites. i think 1/4 cup = 3 egg whites which is 9 g. protein... so a cup would be 36? maybe im a little off... so thats 144 more cals
i cup of glucose.. .im guessiong around 40- 50 grams which would be 160- 200 more cals
and that hot cocoa mix.. mostly sugar.. prob about 10 grams carbs.. extra 40.. so u can add 350- 390 more calories i think to get what u need. all in all, your carbs will be a little higher, but thats still good.
ya when i wake up late for a class, i do a nice shake consisting of 3/4 c. oats, 2 scoops protein, 2 tbs. peanut butter and 1 tbs. glutamine. it comes out to around 650 calories!

you think my carbs are high? Do you think my carb right before bed are high?

i think they are pretty good, all good carbs but that cocoa mix, maybe find a zero sugar brand. but if i could add one thing.. add some more flax/ fish oil.. it could only help you bro.

Here's my problem as of late...I train from about 4:30 to 6pm.....get my shake down by 6:30 and cruise home.....by the time I get ready for the next day, take care of the family shit and what have you, it's about 8pm. I have to crash by 9 because my work day recently has been starting around 5am...........so, what should I eat so late that it could be 15 minutes before I crash? Are the oats a shitty idea this late?

if that cal count is accurate i would suggetst bumping it up a bit by adding some good fats fish oil/flax/hemp oil/coconut oil

you said your weight is 185 and that cal count is around 2800 which is your weight * 15 in cals.. when i bulk i normally am around 20-23 cals per lb of weight but i do a lot of cardio as well but i think most people go around 18-20 but its different for everyone.

i dont think the type of carbs you chose at nite are that bad. and you need energy to last you through the nite to keep building muscle

THe cals are a tad off because I didnt know some of the cals in a few foods...thats why they are blank. You've seen results eating so close to bed? Like eating, brushing teeth and crashing.........? Thanks for the help to all.....K

i always eat before bed and if im bulking i make sure to get a decent amount of cals in before bed

i just eat a good meal maybe chicken and veggies with some brown rice

or i use shakes.. like egg/caesin/olive oil

i dont really notice a big diffference so long as i get long lasting protein, good long lasting energy sources and NO sugars

ive never noticed a difference waking up and drinking a shake while sleeping in case you are curious and ive tried it a lot.. but again different things work for different people..

when im cutting i take in just protein before bed.. along with a few fish/flax caps

good luck

So you think a good casein protein and 1/2 cup of oats minutes before crashing for the night is ok?

What about a tb of ANPB as well........or some almonds for fats.........

i think all of those are good places to start.

i definately think eating before bed while bulking is a good idea.. your body needs energy to create muscle

some people grow better with low gi carbs (oats) some get better results using fats(ANPB/flax/etc)

if you were going on a 6 hr car ride right in the middle of the day and couldnt eat the whole trip what would you eat?

That might be one of the best analogies I've ever heard............6hr car ride........do you know you actually burn more calories sleeping than watching TV? Hell, for most car rides, many would hit the nearest fast food joint there was............so 1/2 cup of oats, so low fat cottage cheese and a handfull of nuts as got to be perfect...........

if you think that would be YOUR best choice before the car ride then thats what i would eat before bed as well.

that would kill me.. im allergic to nuts

well, it really doesnt matter than....just as long as the macros are on........i'd say 25-35g. of slow burning (low gi carbs), at least 30g of protein, and 10-15g of unsat. heathly fats or oils..................consensus?
