How do you want to retire?

Personally, I want a sailboat to live on. Fish for food and travel with the winds. Spend my time in her arms, have my puppy with me, well he won't be a puppy then. Just sail my last days away with the people that are important to me. Great way to quit this life.

Sounds perfect to me, anchoring off some deserted reef/point break, jumping off the boat, paddling straight into the line up, coming back burnt tired and hungry to a freshly cooked fish and a good bottle of wine. Who could ask more? Hope I'm still able bodied and active enough by the time I've retired to enjoy those things. Working on it 24hrs, eyes on the prize man.
 
well i got retired from the navy after only 12 years for medical reasons... does that count???

Surf ha you will be old to surf you will drown. I will spend my retirement(late 70's) parachuting and packing my own chute so I won't have to worry about my 80s.
 
I'd like to take the time off and see places. To live in a new place or country every six months. I'd come by and see all you people in person.

Personally I'd like to be retired Blade Runner style, then I won't have to worry about anything.

Plan two is a lot like centurions, I want to get a place near Lewiston Montana, build a house, and be a cabinet maker. The only rule is that I want my nearest neighbor to be at least 10mi away so I don't have to put up with anyone's shit.

2 - I can do what I WANT as opposed to what I have to do.

i am 3 ... u know the index works right? best 20 rounds out of your scores with slope + rating blah blah blah... i am lucky to have my best bro work as a manager at a course here in phx so i play for free there and me and him play all over the town for free since he has his PGA card (not pro card in the sense he is on the tour but his pga teaching card)

I WISH... there are a million badass golfers out here in the valley... i shot 74 and 76 and missed the cut by 3 for the scottsdale city tourney last year...


my golf claim to fame was bein on tv for USGA journal (was 17) am match play championship ... i got knocked out first round LOL but i made espn2 tho LOL

u know how it is..harder tho so hard to improve at that level..same with bbing.... gains come easy first then it slows ...


how is your handicap? u golf mcuh with your sales job?
 
I used to play a bit a while back...never more than 2x per week - which is why I really stopped playing..I had too much shit to work on at once

i will definitely move away from louisiana. would love to go to the northeast. i spent time there while in the army and i loved it. tons of golf courses, and rich in american history, two of my biggest passions.
 
I've come to the conclusion that waiting for retirement is a waste of your current life. Have fun now. Just don't be an idiot and forget to contribute to your Roth though. Your much more able to down a 12 pack, smoke dope and fuck five sluts on 1 night right now than you will be in 30 years or more.

I usually designate 1 night per week(not including the weekend) to just be a fucking fool. More than normal that is. When I get home I slam the weights a little in the shop, hit my hot tub outside and get into my Thuston Howell the 3rd bathrobe and go pour a stiff scotch in my fully stocked bar and crank up MotorHead or the like in my upstairs 1500 sq. feet party lounge. My gay neighbor is a bartender and gets cheap alky---I gave him severa, hundred and said fill this motherfucker up. I dont even know what I have. I know that scotch is getting low.

As far as retirement.................once never thought possible it looks as if im going to be a millionaire.
