Aren't hips just like any other joint? I mean you can't strengthen your elbow, you strenghten your triceps, biceps and forearms muscles. So when people say that they are doing an exercise to strengthen their hips do they really mean their glutes/hams/quads?
Or do I know a lot less about the human body than I thought?
