How do you paste pictures into posts?

Can someone walk me through step by step how to paste pictures into posts? I know how to attach them as files... but I am trying to figure out how to make them appear as part fo a post so they are immediately open and visible to non-Platinum members.

You have to use the image tags and a reference to the picture from another site or your ef site acct if you have one.

the syntax is

[ img ] http:// www.sitename/direname/image.jpg (.gif). [ / img ]

But you eliminate all the spaces.

You have to know the location of the file you would like to display.

For an example, I will use the infamous C-Ditty, May1010 impersonation.

The file itself is located at...

http://www.vmdesigns.net/images/may1010.jpg

Now, you have to tell the board you want to post the image and where to pull it from...

[ i m g ] http :// www. vmdesigns. net/images/ may1010.jpg [ / i m g ]

Remove the spaces out of the [ i m g ] so it looks like.

Ahhh you can't do it from your hard drive.

If you have an ef website then you can upload your images to it and link from there. It has a nice upload manager too.

All your doing is copying files from your pc to another computer. (server) that you can link to using the php image tags.

To a server, preferrably.

I have several sites that I maintain and control, so it's just a matter of uploading them.

Yahoo! and others have free space for housing your pics.

anyone can post a picture, full size, hosted by ef without having to be platinum....i don't understand why people don't know how to do it, but i will explain:

1. click the photos button next to the search button

2. click on upload photo link at bottom of main gallery page

3. select a file for upload

4. find the picture in your gallery you wish to post and click on its thumbnail

5. you should be at a page with the picture and the file name just above it. right click the picture and choose properties and copy the url address.

6. in your post, click the img button above the typing area and paste the properties url into the box
