How do you guys/gals in Canada get your bloodwork done?

I searched, but did not see a previous thread.

So what's your approach to getting bloodwork done in Canada? I'm talking more about Liver than hormones, I already know about ZRT etc.

1) Find a decent GP (unlikely)
2) Make up some story ie. paint yourself yellow to get a Liver test.
3) Affiliated with a sports team/doctor
4) Don't do Orals
5) Take your chances
6) Go to the US/Other
7) ???

In my experience, most GPs will be willing to do this for you, no problems. Just be honest. Some of them might give you a bit of a lecture about using, but they will still get you the tests you need. Use a walk-in clinic if you don't want to tell your regular doctor. I've done this before in several provinces (NS, ON, and SK), and never any problem. Walk in, tell doc (possibly endure lecture and silly questions), get your tests, walk out. Come back in a few days to get results. Total out of pocket cost=$0.
