How do you guys break your amps?

How do you guys open your amps? I have used a washcloth, pen cap, a bunch of things, but every now and then i crack one and it goes everywhere. grr

Is there a better way to successfully open them?

I just hold it in my hand and apply pressure with my thumb untill it breaks. Some people score the neck with something that ways it breaks easier but i never found it necessary.

i have an old fashioned, hand crank can opener...has holes in the handle...perfect for insertion of the top of the vial in the handle hole and snapping the top off.

haven't lost one yet!

do a search, works slick, and i've never lost one to the opener..

I use a cloth and snap where it's meant to be snapped. Sometimes I have the top of the amp shattered (rarely) but never lost an amp.

I HATE AMPS !!! But, when I do use them, I break them open with plastic Bic pen tube. Fits snug, clean break 80% time. Amp opener is best way to go.

Unfortunately so my friend 14 out of 20 amps of zambon broke but was a good job I ordered 60 of them - just cut the winny short on my cycle.

Never ever made that mistake ever again!

I use one of those cleaning cloths that come with eye glasses (doubled over). The material is really thin, so you get a good feel through it. I've never lost an amp, but often the top above the mark shatters, but the glass is always contained in the cloth, so it's no big deal.

I use a straight serrated kitchen knife and then pop it with a pen cap.
Excellent results.

OR
go to hardware,,buy cheap small file,,score neck lightly,,and snaps easy.
