How do you eat your tuna?

Right now, I just open the can, drain the water, and chow down.
How do you prefer eatting your tunafish?

Personally I have to have a 32 or 64 oz cup of water by my side....take a forkful in my mouth, then swig a huge gulp of water...swish it around for a second and then GULP...swallow it down. I hate having to chew the shit. When you've been eating tuna for 3-4 years the shit gets really old really fast.

obviously depends on goals.

RIght now I only eat it with a pasta salad. I throw in low fat mayo and onions and olives and some spices. I eat this actualy a couple of times a day. It keeps it from getting totally nasty and getting burned out from stone dry tuna. If you HAVE to get down to the nitty gritty with calories I eat it plain with alot of black pepper and a diet coke or something.

If I want it plain, I just put some tabasco on it and head to town.
You may want to try making some tuna burgers! They are good for you and high in protein

Recipe:
2 egg whites mixed in bowl with one can tuna.
Add non-fat whole wheat bread crumbs till its the consistency where you can make a patty out of it.
Make two patties and grill em up in a pan, I add flax oil at the very end to get a little moist...don't let it sit long enough to let the oil denature (turns the good fats into bad ones)

There ya go

Hey, i Personally dont like the fat Mayonaise. Inorder to eat a tuna sandwich and not worry about the fat, I buy SMARTBEAT mayonaise which is fat free.

Take a little olive oil in a pan.Dump tuna in with some kind of cajun seasoning ,Mrs. dash or whatever seasoning you want.I like too experiment. Cooking it help with the taste alot IMO.

I posted this awhile back, but I think it's a great alternative to cold tuna if you've got the time. Simply adjust the veggies depending on how many carbs you're allowing yourself that day.

In TBSP olive oil toss sliced onion, red or green pepper julienned. Saute until limp. Add several cloves of garlic depending on your tastes and half a jar or so of mushrooms. Keep sauteing until the mushrooms shrink a bit and the garlic is cooked. Toss in a large can of tuna (drained) or a couple of those dry packs of tuna and a half or whole can of green beans (drained). Keep stir frying until the tuna and beans are heated through. Top with at MOST a TBSP of grated Parmesan.

Hmmmm...probably some basil and oregano would be good in this.

You can probably prep and cook this in under 15 minutes. I generally get two to three meals out of this. You can substitute the tuna with chicken breast if you want.
