How Do You Dispose of Your Pins?

Put them in my neighbors garbage
i've thought about dropping mine off in the nearby casino's bathroom insulin pin disposal, but i'd overflow that bitch before i even got a good start lol

You should be able to get a sharps container. Everyone with diabetes does not run around hiding their syringes in public dumpsters why would steroid users have to. I have put mine in the garbage with shields on, back in package and duct tape them up so noone working with garbage gets pricked. Think how scared the guy would be getting accidently pricked by a garbage syringe, i would be. I was wondering also what everyone else does with theirs and who actually disposes of them properly.

Might be kind of corny but I guess I should/could get a sharpers container,
Never even thought of it in the past.
Hospitals of course go out of there way to minimize any patient/employee injury, or pin and syringe abuse.

I think I could hide the thing, it’s just kind of gross sitting around, plus kids, or animals could get in there,
There has to be a good solution.
I don’t want some poor guy driving the truck to get stuck, and I don’t want to help a junkie get high. Although I don’t think the drivers ever touch the garbage.
I have always separated the needles and syringes and of course recapped the needles,
But the other day, I saw a needle in the garbage with no cap, so I did not put the cap back on tight enough.
Actually when I am injecting, tossing everything is the last thing on my mind.
Usually massaging something or trying to stop a blood gusher.

In all honesty folks the old protein tub with duct tape is a surefire way. If a junkie goes looking for trouble, well, I say let them find it. Play with fire and you get burned.
If somebody's kid is old enough, strong enough and resourceful enough just to open up a used tub that is obviously sealed to keep something in as well as go through the trouble of uncapping the needle and stab themselves or somebody else with it, well, that is one dumb kid.
Sure the tub will probably get crushed and eventually might split open in the truck, but at that point its off to the landfill/incinerators which is out of harms way.

I usually just fill up a 5lb protein container and my girl disposes of it properly..I filled one up this past year, plus started another one.. 2-3 shots/ED will do that..

I have a sharps container that I use and dispose of them properly. I work in a hospital so it is easy. Plus I would feel like shit if someone stuck themselves on a needle. I have had needlesticks before and it is scary shit, especially if you had no idea who used it previously. At least I can check medical records.

Ok I am the newb here and I was just thinking of making a thread like this today haha. My feeling is this. I would put mine in a protien jug like you guys said and just take them to a hospital and drop them off at a syringe drop off which you can do? Saw someone post something like that so assuming they weren't being a smartass thats what I would do.
Plus I live at home my parents would KILL me which is why I prolly wont start a cycle for a while. Still growin some and readin before I take the plunge haha.

No one got local needle exchange? I got one 5 mins up the road. Get FREE! pins different sizes even get alcohol wipes, syringes & most important pins disposal bin. Its like small plastic bin with secure lid on it. Laughed first time went in... felt like a junkie but saved money plus got everything i need and some useful advice about injecting. People who work there of course get drug users but alot of gear users come in as well. Joked if i could inject here said trying to get that but still illegal... for now.

Some of these responses are fucked up... Now that im aware of a sharps container i'll def. get one. Irresponsible if you ask me just to toss them loose in the garbage. I take empty script bottles, of course peel the labels off and store them in there then throw those script bottles in an empty container i.e. coffee canister, protein bottle. Be a little more responsible and take other people into consideration. How would you feel if you got poked with a used needle?

I separate the pins and cases, trash the cases, pins go into a sharps container. When the sharps containers full, i seal it inside a protein jug and it goes into the trash.

Besides getting a sharps container. Thats about what i do. I'm not knocking anyone for atleast putting them in a container. Im talking about the ones who just toss in em in the trash even if there is a cap on it.

i've put a capped needle on the counter and the cap fell off. being in a garbage can,then to truck then where ever could jar it lose

I live in the same country as rosco, i go to the needle exchange, in UK, get alcohol swabs, barrels, pins (different sizes) and a sharps container, all free, then when i have finished just take them back, sign just my initials, no questions asked, apart from what do you need the needles for. I just say anabolics, and im done, all disposed of in a medically safe way, the sharps container is only about the size of a dvd case (with a bit of depth) easy to hide!

I do the same thing. But instead of just throwing it away I burn them along with anything that contains personal information(fraud). I put everything in a metal bucket, add diesel fuel and presto. the barrels burn really good. the pins either melt away or corrode up. I bury what's left if anything. corroded pins rust away quickly. remember anything in your garbage is fair game for the man. pins in the garbage with your info? might not turn out to good.oxymed said:
