I do by a few different ways. Post count is one but not the main one. Sometimes a very knowledgable user just comes to the board and offers some good advice and other times people with large post count say some riduculous stuff. Another way if they are a mod or not(not saying the mods are always correct but I would believe in their advice over others if there was conflict in opinion.)
Also by the knowledge a person commands in their presentation of the facts. The last criteria I use is the percentage of times you see the same advice come up. Now this can be deceptive sometimes because of misinformation. Then the last way is by gut. Inotherwords, if the advice just sounds logical or not.
Do you guys have the same type process to see if you are getting good or bad info or do you have some other ideas on deciphering it?
