Now my vote is go see an ENT first, preferably one with an interest in snoring, and hear me out:
My mother was champion snorer, the best, you could hear her down the hall through TWO closed doors. She also suffered from sinus problems/infections at least twice a year.
She had a cerebral aneurysm last year (that eventually took her life), but they did tons of MRIs and CAT scans on her head. I looked at those images and was amazed to discover she had a dilly of a deviated septum (how bad was it??? Bad enough that I could see it, and I'm no radiologist!)
So if she had lived my mother could have gotten her sinuses and snoring fixed in one fell swoop by getting a nose job and her insurance would have paid for it to boot.
My vote, eliminate the obvious stuff first. Make sure you don't have a mechanical problem. Get the inside of your head imaged properly, if that's all clear THEN move on to the big guns.
