how do i increase my gas mileage?

im getting less than 15 mpg. i know i need to get an oil change and a tune up but what else can i do? ive checked my tires too

If it is a 5-speed then stay under 3500RPM. Lighten the load in your car. Remove anything that is not necessary inside the car. Change the spark plugs. Change the air filter. Stop using the air conditioning. Get an alignment. Do not drive past 60MPH. Try to avoid stop-and-go traffic. Do not start the car and idle too much since both require a lot of gas. Get injector cleaner.

I am sure I could think of more.

i know about stuff like driving slow. its a four speed. it doesnt have a tach. there nothing in it but me and the seats. i use fuel injector cleaner all the time. im looking for stuff i can buy that will improve the performance. what about a new alternator?

How old is it? If it is a four speed then it must be very old or a 4Cyl import. What is it?
