By many, children are seen as a blessing and a reason for marriage. An extra child to them is never a burden but a god-send. For this reason, they figure they will find a way to make it with 1 more child.

Once the oldest ones reach working age and still contribute to the family it becomes better. There's a family 2 streets down from my house that are christian and fairly poor and have 19 kids.
