How can the RIAA track me through kazaa lite?

If they grab one of my files, the only thing I can find to identify myself is my username which just says kazaalitee master or something like that. I think every other person using kazaa lite has the same name. How do they get an IP addy from your user name? I never entered my real name or any other info when I installed kazza lite. How specifically does this work?
