I made just about over 100k as a commodity broker. Our firm went to shit as it is completed its over seas change of hands

and I am back in mortgage broker/banker world. I could make 100k. who knows..maybe in 2009 if I am in the same line of work

if you're not a professional with a masters (i.e. doctor, lawyer) or you don't want to have suckle on the balls of the corporate ladder...

then the best options is some type of high end/high reward sales to build up an investment capital base..... once you have a large enough capital base, making money becomes easy assuming you have a brain and some business sense/knowledge of how investment works, whether it be a business or merely transactional.

there's always money in real estate investment if you really know what you're doing, no matter what the market. just have to know how to analyze risks, the market and have proper reserves.

flippin in itself is not illegal.......no one says you can't buy a property at a cheap price (or as a distressed property that needs to be fixed) and then sell it within a short amount of time. obviously alot of lenders have seasoning issues w/ this, but it's not illegal

it's the stuff associated with it (inflated appraisals, shady title work) that are.

I was just being a smart ass. The def. as stated by (RESPA) flipping isnt what we all think it is. The idea you state is legal.

me: i manage 100 i.t. folks in 2 continents.

on the side: starting a film/media production company, and a full-on professional national touring band.

the 1st makes me a paycheck. the last 2 are passions, and i don't care about the money.

when u do things u do for passion, not money - a funny thing happens, it becomes easier to make money doing it cuz ur so good at it.

learning. lots of learning to do. very interesting to learn a whole new career, industry and the people involved in it. u get a real perspective on things when u start from the bottom again. u feel like u did when u were 20.
