Hotmail security warning

Most of you here probably have multiple e-mail accounts, some of them anonymous or under fake names (for stuff on the board) and others that are legit for normal people purposes. Sometimes I will have two different accounts open on different browsers, and have noticed a problem when I do this with hotmail. This week for the 3rd time I responded to a mail from my anonymous account, only to get written back to at my legit account. Apparently there is a flaw in the hotmail composer so that when multiple accounts are open the e-mail might be sent out under the wrong account. I know I didn't type in the response in the wrong browser, since I was simply pressing reply to an e-mail in the correct account.

just keep that in mind if you use hotmail (hasn't happened to me with anyother service).

same happens with yahoo. I emailed my teacher for college to get some work I missed and he responded to my hushmail account and I know I didn't put that addy in

Whoa just found out why. Some how my hush addy was saved in my yahoo preferences for outgoing mail. Now there's no reason in hell I would do that. Kinda creepy

there is nothing secure on a computer, no matter how many firewalls, blockers, worm holes, you put on your machine, if someone wants to find out something they can, just be as carefull as you can.....

I use Freedom with both Eudora and Outlook Express. PGP set up on both as well. When Freedom is running, it will ask you which addy you wish to use (i.e., your real name and email addy or [email protected]). You choose what you want to use before the computer sends anything. Of course, you need to remember to have Freedom running.
