I think it was Nelly Furtado that had on the blue dress she was singing with a dude? Or Sarah McLachlan I forget what colour the dress was she had on.

The men's downhill event at the Vancouver Olympics has been rescheduled for Monday after officials postponed the race due to slushy conditions hours before it was scheduled to begin.

I liked:

1) Wayne Gretzky being the one to light the real cauldron. Best choice that could have been made.
2) The opening of the ceremony with the snowboarding.

I disliked:

1) That opening was dragged out waaaaaaaaaaaay too long
2) It was FAR too native-centric. Why not include all the major cultures/regional flavors that make up Canada?
3) The hydraulics malfunction at the end was ridiculous; every system on that thing should have had a redundant backup.

I agree Wayne was an awesome choice.

I agree it dragged on to long. I actually liked the native theme. The reports I heard that tv viewers noticed more then the people at BC place so... meh whatever shit happeds.

I feel so proud to be Canadian right now. I been watching more Olympic coverage than I have in a really long time. Every time they cut away and show the BC landscapes I am blown away by the beauty.

You see the Tims commercial based on a true storey? That shit had me crying. Yeah I am geek plus I am probably getting my period based on crying at that. LOL

LOL...I saw the commercial; didn't even come close to crying tho. Did you see our women's hockey team destroy Slovakia 18-0? New women's hockey olympic record for margin of victory!:)
 
jennifer heil wasn't even the best canadian. . .chloe dufour-lapointe's final run was just ridiculous. . .and she placed 5th i think. . .what a fucking joke :(

They may take women's hockey out of the olympics because of Canadian and U.S. domination.

Yes tragic however he died doing the thing he loved most in life. I was watchig luge because of the accidant amazing to see those dude going at a buck 20 down an ice track on a tiny ass sled holy f not sure who thought that up must have been a little nuts. That being said it looks fun as hell.

Totally agree. I always thought it would be a blast to try, but dangerous as hell.

I hope they do.



Curling and US womens hockey delayed the coverage of mens hockey for almost the entire first period the other day. There are a few teams I want to watch in mens hockey, and Canada is one of them. Instead I got to flip between 13-0 womens and curling (oh, and speed skating on regular NBC).

Un petit mon :) Every Canadian has to take it in school. I was getting better my ex bf was from MTL so if I would go there for a weekend be forced to speak it amazing what comes back to you after 15 years. LOL
 
The bobsledders have nice asses either that or it has been a loooooooooooooong time since I had sexual relations.
