Hey whats up

I just bought a new JVC XV523 DVD player, i already had the jvc 8000vbk receiver and i bought some really nice Wharfedale modus Speakers, now i need a new tv..Should i go for the Sony 27" Wega, or.....

Please suggest a tv , i will spend up to $650C

well by 2009 All cable service will be high definition...All the shit you hear about High Def tv's today aren't really Hig def tv

they are High Def TV ready, meaning you will need to buy a special reciver just to watch high def tv. Personally if you can do without a Big TV I would hold off for a few more years. The prices of them still aren't cheap enough in my mind to pay alot for something I will need replaced in 6-8 years from now

If you're buying a tube t.v. then SONY is the only way to go.

Wega is great. XBR is better but not really worth the extra money (you can't tell the difference on DVD, and you'll just be pissed when you watch cable because it brings out the flaws. It is goo for High Def though and future possibilities)....I'd invest the extra in a 32" instead of a 27"!!!!! You will really want that extra screen size once you get the whole thing up and running.

Have Fun

I used to be a big fan of Sony too but now they are overpriced and the competition has caught up to them. I would go check out your options and compare pictures and prices. If I'm not mistaken Panasonic has a better picture than the Sony with their black screen or whatever its called.

I've got a 27" Sony Trinitron with a flat screen that I bought for $350 from a store that was going out of business. I have no complaints about it, it gets a real good picture especially with DVD.
