Holy crap...Cortisol problem...

Hey guys I was reading something on cortisol and all the symptoms of having too much. I had evvvvvvvery single one of them. From abdominal fat gain to tossing and turning at night, to loss of memory to loss of libido, etc. I have all of these symptoms when I'm going natural. And it's not only riiiiiiiight after my cycle it's 6 months after. My cycle now makes me feel awesome most likely because it is inhibiting all that cortisol and I'm contemplating on staying on for life! IS THERE ANYTHING that SHUTS down cortisol levels besides glutamine and stuff like that? like is there medication that stops it?

Thanx

i imagine there is medicine to inhibit it, but you definitely don't want to shut it down. phosphatidyl serine is supposed to help reduce cortisol levels. also, check your diet. i know certain diet changes can help a great deal (unfortunately i really don't know what to suggest though other than making sure you get high carbs and protein post workout).

Nautica I'm looking it up right now.

yeah i did take phosphatidyl serine but it made me feel like crap. plus it was getting too expensive.

Does anyone know of any studies that test HTPA when using low doses of test. Like 50mg or 75mg? I'm wondering how much I can take without shutting down my own test. I'm really really contemplating on staying on for a while.

maybe you are just overtraining? i get those symptoms when i overdo it.

Why to much cortisol?

Overtraining, lack of proper rest, crappy diet (including delicate balances of vitamins and minerals), underlying stress, genetic predisposition, paranoia, various mental pathologies, etc, etc,...

If your concerned, see a doc.

Yeah, the Bros who are onto the Cytadren got it. I used some last spring, thinking Cortisol was the enemy. Then I ran into a problem(luckily only one problem) of not having enough Cortisol.

Peace,
S.
