Airfare is a bitch, but well worth the price. We've been twice, once to Bora Bora, and once to Moreea. The scenery is perhaps the most beautiful in the world.

I looked into it last year, but the total travel time is about 24hrs for us from Iceland, and with three kids, that is not happening. We will probably do the Canaries again, it was very cool for the kids, but certainly no South Pacific Paradise....

I know the Executive chef at the four seasons Fiji, so staying there is free... its just so far away with the wee ones.

Number 1 place: Bora Bora
Number 2 place: Fiji
Number 3 place: Byron Bay on Australia's Gold Coast.

From LA you can get some sweet deals to 2 & 3 and the US dollar will let you live like a fucking king for at least weeks in 2.

There are tonnes of sales on now for travel in December.

Depends what you are looking for. There are so many amazing places around the world. I'd probably go to Paris or Barcelona with my gf. Exotic Islands are pretty nice and all, but they get boring after a little while.
