The "best" one is the one that sparks your body to respond in a new way relative to where it is now.

Change is good. Change yet to come is better.
 
Hey this is my problem right here.......I can't seem to lift any heavier weight, can't seem to make my body look any different and I can't get bigger........Shadow you must reading my mind today....

Every 6-8 weeks is a good guideline. I might move it to every 4-6 weeks just to keep it fresh. You could also say change it when your current training results start to stagnate.

The project folks do a different routine each week
 
I've been following a 2 month program where the routine is the same for a 4 week period.....

After I'm done this current 4 week thing, I'm going to follow Shadow's thing.....maybe from the beginning.....
 
I change lifting routines every week - but I have no set pattern at all for cardio, other than that I try not to do the same cardio routine more than twice in a row. It keeps me from getting bored, and it keeps my body guessing.

One that can be made a reality... just do it! Pick a date and go for it. took me 13 years to take the plunge... what do you have to lose?

Better yet.. what do you have to gain? A goal.. an accomplishment.. a dream..

You'll be the same age in 1 year, whether you compete or not..... I don't think age is a factor anymore.....

Sassy is in her 30's.. Mrs Jnuts.. 30's I believe also..

Makes it all the better IMO.. looking good at 21 is alot easier than look GREAT in your 30's or 40's or hell even 50's!

I've seen some of your pics doll.. and trust me..... you can blow the competition away ;)
 
I will repeat -- there was an Over 70 category with 2 ladies in it, 3 men and an Over 80 category with 2 men in it at my first show.


The great thing about BB -- it is NEVER too late!

agreed. It takes balls (doesn't matter if you're male or female :D) to get up there and have your body critiqued. I have a lot of respect for the seniors who do it.
