hip to ribcage ratio

my rib cage is pretty damn thin.. its been bothering me for a god damn while. I took a measuring tape and measured it. My hips were about 32 or so and thats solid bone im very thin.. mean while the rib cage was only about 28..chest was about 35 at the widest part making it look like i have an hour glass TORSO! making it look like i have wide fatty hips kinda even though im skinyn as hell. IM 17 6'1 and 140 pounds yes thats pathetic i know. I hit puberty at almost 15 so i got some time left to mature will maturing take care of this or do i have some kinda problem i should be worried about. Other then that my legs are pretty decent and despite being skinny they arent that bad at all. I have a pretty thin bone structure to.. wrists are 6.5-7 inch wide can loop my thumb to index finger. im definetly an ectomorph.. what i wanna know basically is this normal cuz its been bothering me. Most kids torso goes straight down and mine doesnt quite..

Because you are so young and not done maturing, your body is still in a very akward stage. Everybody goes through this stage during their teenage years - and we can be especially hard on ourselves with all the pressure put on us from our peers.

You need to not be so analytical and work on the basics:

1. EAT!!! EAT !!!! EAT!!!!!

2. Weight train hard. Educate yourself on this topic as much as possible so you don't waste time in the gym.

3. EAT EAT EAT - and lots of protein!

Take a look at your parents and other older family members to get an idea of what you might look like at maturity. Remember that you can do wonders with your body even if you don't like the looks of your family members.

Keep in mind that it is very rare to be measuring your torso and hips. You are over-obsessing about this. Have pride with how tall you are. Some of the shorter guys would kill to have your height (it gets more girls!) You've got a way to go as far as putting on muscle but it happens over time if you work it!!!!

I started training naturally 10 years ago. My friends called me skelator. I had a 38in chest, and 12.5inch arms.. I got myself to 15in arms and a 43 chest naturally... my first proper roid course got me to 15.75arms and 45 chest....

I drank 10 pints of milk a day (too much I know - I nowadays only drink 2).... plus I ate whatever I could even when I wasn't hungry.. and I only did basic weight training exercises - squat, leg press, bench, etc.
 
I started off as a very skinny kid also - and fuck'n hated it. Like Juicygirl said - EAT EAT EAT, then EAT some more!!! I was also a very late bloomer. Am 6'3" and weighed 200 through the age of 25 then started to grow a lot, am now 32 and weigh 260 at about 10% bf. Based on the fact that the average man reaches his peak in strength at around 35 (most of the best olympic lifters and powerlifters are in their mid 30's) I don't expect to reach mine until 40. Don't get discouraged Bro, train hard, eat hard and sleep hard. By the time your physique starts to get good, all the dick heads that picked on you will be fat couch potatos with fat wives and a litter of nasty little kids - and you'll be looking good!!!
