HIIT studies

New member
Ive been searching for studies on HIIT. If anyone has any good read/studies on it please post. Im looking to devise a program and am curious what methods produce the best results. Fat loss is my goal. Also if anyone has any pros/cons of any hiit programs they have followed.
Thanks

Just type '"high intensity interval"' (include the inner quotation marks unless you want thousands of irrelevant studies in which those words appeared) into PubMed for a bunch of abstracts of studies on HIIT.

HIIT is the only way I've found to cut. As gay as it sounds, a good HIIT workout is the Body-for-life workout. You basically pyramid your sets...

12, 10, 8, 6 reps while increasing the weight and only waiting one minute between sets

then slightly lower the weight and do 12 reps then on the same body part do 12 reps without waiting any time between sets.

Do the next body part in two minutes the same way. You do HIIT cardio every other day taking one day off a week.

I'm currently taking a break from the 3x5 and doing this workout for two weeks. I can't believe the pumps you get from doing the high reps and keeping the intensity up.
