high uric acid ?

does anybody know if high uric acid levels are caused by steriods

i think its caused by bad kidneys, so yes they are related somehow, drink more water

Uric acid is formed in the liver and excreted by the kidneys. It is used as a diagnostic tool as an indication of kidney function. They are several reasons for elevated levels one of being Dehydration. Make sure you are properly hydrated next time you get tested and also it is best to have all blood work done on a 12 hour fast.

Here in hawaii we call it gowt...spelling?...Anyways its refered here as the rich mans disease beacause its believed to be brought on by rich foods...diet plus kidney function is what it is...they have medications for it...alot of people here get it, it causes alot pain in different parts of the body.
