high reps for cutting?

Tried it for a couple weeks and it just didn´t feel right. (at least 30 reps) Also didn´t seem to work that well.

Will go out on a limb and emphasize the diet when cutting.

Higher reps will induce more of a growth hormone release but if you are on a low cal diet then I usually don't suggest high rep training. It sems to be much more of a strain on your recovery system. I do think that a burnout set at the end of your heavy sets is a good idea. I incorporate that idea into my training and have noticed some good results in pump and size.

NNNNOOOOO!!!!!!

train heavy........ diet and do cardio

Going high reps is not good. The burn you feel from high reps, making you think it works, is just acid going into the muscle and that doesn't do it any favors.

i totally agree with this statement, and for how many reps you asked to do. personally i like doing sets in the 6-8 rep range always, i feel going heavy with moderate reps my body responds better to. and in my opinion you should try to keep the reps the same when starting to cut to try to preserve as much strength as you can, by working with the same weight and rep ranges still.

reguardless if u are cutting or bulking.. ur rep ranges could b the same or overlap.

1 exercies isnt going to get u big or cut.. or rep range.. its about ur diet...

an exercise is going to work your muscle.and break it down

going real high on reps i wouldent suggest..1 because i dont feel like i was doing ne thing.. it would feel like an endurance test.. not like ur a martathon runner or ne thing..

for hypotrophy gains(increased muscle size) reps should b between 6-12..maybe to 15 if u stretch it..depends on the individual..and to exhuastion..so keep ur reps in that range,,

if ur looking for that burnout feeling.. look into drop sets\supper sets\giant sets whatever

if u want to get cut... its all diet

hope this helped..

quality not QUANTITY

TRAIN WITH A NORMAL WEIGHT . ITS QUALITY, DO QUALITY REPS MAKE SURE YOU ARE WORKING THE MUSCLE YOU WANT NOT ANYOTHER MUSCLES.
MORE REPS IS A MYTH
NORMAL REPS

I could've sworn I read it in quite a few studies but I can't remember where I found them. I would just disregard that comment until I look through my books to see if I can find it.

Train normally. Train like you are training for mass/size/strength with the BIG movements. Squats, bench press, and deads really kick my metabolism in hard. Use your hard and heavy training to increase your metabolism...while you intelligently diet.
