HIGH prolactin levels!!!

Spud

New member
After months and months of frustration and confusion of what could be causing my dreaded "puffy nipple" problem, I think has been solved. Since I dont posses any hard tissue or lumps under my nipples, I couldnt figure out what the hell was going on. Normal prolatin levels are between 3.7 and 17.9, MY levels were tested at 31.5!!! What are more side effects of high prolactin levels, because for the last 6-8 months I just havent felt right. I have little to no sex drive, fatigue, depression, etc. Just wondering what high prolatin levels can do. One more thing, my Doc. said to stay off of my "nutritional supplements" for a month to see if thats the cause, and then see him again for another test. I think this is a waste of time, and that I should start taking a script ASAP to get my levels down. All im taking is Optimum Nutrition Whey, and thats it! Protein supp cant cause high prolactin can it??? I dont think so, but correct me if Im wrong. This problem was persistant before I was on any supps anyway. What else besides the unknown can cause high prolactin levels?? Thanks bros'.

I was on D-bol for about 2 months or less about 2-1/2 to 3 years ago, thats it. It was more of "what are steroids like", and then I went off. Besides that I have NEVER used any other gear or prohormones. This is why im confused on how my prolactin levels could be so high.

I wish Nelson Montana would read this one. Puffy nips and no tren or deca to blame it on, LOL.

Seriously though, ask your doctor about getting some bromocriptin or dostinex. Both drugs are FDA approved for the treatment of hyperprolactemia (high prolactin).

you should definitely talk to doctor.

prolactin problems, with respect to nipple puffyness, are often undected because the surges occur at night.

to have high day time levels may be indicative of a pituitary problem. get checked.

Yeah bro thats my plan! I heard Dostinex is the way to go in all categories over bromo besides price.

Hey macro, do you know what may have caused this to happen? Ive done a shit load of research and cant really find a "reason" for higher prolactin leves. I have read about problems with the pituitary gland, but how serious is this? Will taking a script be enough to balance my problem out? I've also heard about tumors causing higher levels, thus called prolactinoma. ANY info on the subject would be great!

it can be serious.. but completely controllable using the prolactin suppressing medication.. and yes tumors are one of the most frequent causes..

most problems occur during puberty when the pituitary is in "hyper drive". your levels are not extremely high but still a thorough exam is essential.

Well Im not going through puberty anymore, Im 23 going on 24 in a few months. Ill make sure to tell my doc all of this to see what he has to say. One more thing, Not to beat this to death or anything, but do you think this is why I have puffy nipples then? I know I have been hounding you about this problem for a while now, so some closure would be good. Thanks for your help Macro!

that is more than likely the cause of the puffy nips, with the fact that it was 35 I would redraw it to confirm and get an MRI of the sella turcia to look for a pituatary adenoma. Dont Fuck with anything, dont self medicate and follow up with your doc.
good luck
