High Cholesterol???????

i posted a similar question in the anabolic board but ill ask here too. i was told by my doc that i had a 454 cholesterol. he knows about my AS use and is cool with it, he figures he cant stop me and would like to help , and would rather monitor it for safty reasons. he deals a lot with professional athletes and is here to help. anyway i know one of the reasons why it is so high is the AS and i followed that with a KETO diet. high proteins, fats and low carbs. i know that has contributed to the increase . my question is that i should start eating more fruits, beans, wheats , fiberous stuff, BUT that has a lot of carbs. how do i balance that?? i worked really hard to lose the BF% and dont want to gain it back, i do realize that my life and heart are more important but is there a way to balance it , y a know. anyway thanks for the help guys and gals.
 
As long as your calories stay the same I highly doubt you will gain weight if you add carbs (maybe some water weight). Just make sure those carbs contain a lot of fibre, veggies, beans and wheats.
 
Thinker is right, you can stay relatively lean on a moderate carb diet. In fact I got down pretty low in bodyfat with a diet that was 50% carbs, 35% protein and 15% fat. Basically I was eating tuna, oatmeal, and brocolli all day long. It worked though.

As long as the calories are low, and you get enough protein, you won't get fat, even with lots of carbs. So don't sweat it.
 
keep your protein clean, cut out all saturated fats and replace them with EFA flax, and add a fiber supp I keto but I keto the healthy way with lots of lean meats and flax also throw in some CLA my cholesterol has droped 16 points in two months on this high EFA keto diet good luck peace out
