I just saw her fly by a reporter on the weather channel. Don't look good

I remember the hurricane in NY around 1984. I got let out of work early and was in the street trying to catch a cab when I saw this maybe 90 lb. woman holding onto a street sign and the wind was blowing her feet out from underneath her. Good thing I didn't weigh 90 lbs. LOL
This storm's winds have slowed down greatly!
The worst seems like it'll be from flooding and we're pretty high up so at least our home should be fine. I'm in Tampa and should be fine. A friend from Lakeland is heading over today because he's probably gonna get much stronger winds. I'm so thankful this storm is not as strong as Charlie! My mom lived in Punta Gorda where Charlie hit and it was awful. Now she's living with us so at least I don't have to worry about her anymore.Puddles said:LOL

I'm glad your family is not going to be very effective by this.
I know your Mom must still be devastated by Charlie; and scared about this one.

Go figure...Charlie was supposed to hit Tampa and didn't, then Frances was supposed to miss us and now we're gonna get it. But, like I said, the winds have slowed down and it's only a category 2 so it shouldn't be nearly as bad as Charlie. Tonight, just before sunset, there was an absolutely beautiful double rainbow as the first band of the storm came across us here (the 2nd rainbow didn't show up in the pics as it was lighter than the first one). I just added 2 pics of the rainbow into my gallery. Sorry, I don't know how to post them here. The storm is moving very slowly across the state so we won't get the edge of the eye until after noon tomorrow but lots of rain before that. Guess I won't be needing to water the lawn this week.
Damn, and here I was thinking someone made a thread just for me
