I am writing to express my interest in the gas station attendant position currently being advertised. I believe that my experience with petroleum products speaks for itself, so I thought I'd use this letter to help you get to know the real me. I am a person, not just a name on a piece of paper, and as a potential employer, I just really feel that you should get to know me.
I think you should know - I'm a very special fella.
I like ponies and bunnies and pudding and frosting and you won't catch me saying no to a nice piece of key lime pie. I like nuts and berries too - couldn't you just eat berries all day long! I love warm cider and pumpkin patches and hayrides and haunted houses even though I sometimes get really scared and have to close my eyes and just scream! I love jams and jellies and just about every other delicious fruit spread. I like footsy pajamas and walks in the rain, and for my money, nothing beats the feeling of a new pair of socks. I love rides - in fact, I wish I was on line for the Ferris wheel right now, eating cotton candy, and blowing on a nice pinwheel.
I'm an excellent leaper. Sometimes I jump so high that I feel like I could throw a lasso around the moon and bring it right down here to Earth. I love life and sometimes dream that I'm a mermaid and I can jump into the deep blue sea and swim to an underwater world of fantasy and make-believe where I can take rides on dolphins and talk to the fishies. I'm very mischievous and have a reputation as a bit of a prankster around all of my nice friends. Don't look too close at the flower on my lapel - you just might get squirted!
I love soaking in the tub and drinking herbal tea and reading nice stories and then warming up with a nice fire and some warm buttermilk. I wish I was curled up in front of a nice fire with that someone special right now. We could talk about the things that are important to us and our dreams and spend the whole day making beautiful love. You know that song "Fool for Love"? Well, that's me - to a tee! I know it sounds crazy, but if making love to that someone special on a bear skin rug in front of a nice warm fire is crazy, then book me a one-way ticket to the loony bin!
I dream of being the best darn gas station attendant in the whole world, and even though I love doggies and horsies and rainbows and unicorns, I would love to be a gas station attendant even more. Don't expect me to change though - no sir. I am who I am and I love me! If I sound like the kind of person you would like disbursing flammable liquids, please give me a ringy-dingy at your earliest convenience.
