hi! help! I need to lose weight!

hi all,

I'm a newbie on this forum and this is my first post, so I hope there are helpful forumites out there who will help me. I suffered from a slipped disc in February. Prior to that my weight was about 78kgs on a 5'5" frame (overweight, yes about 25 percent bodyfat, history of being overweight altho I played all sorts of sports - rugby, waterpolo etc) but I could do a half-marathon in 2hours 10 minutes.

After my injury (I was really depressed for a month), I had to lay off all exercise. Unfortunately, I succumbed to the horrible pattern of consuming the same amount of food while remaining sedentary. I now weigh 85 kilos, my waist is way too huge (I'm too embarass to even say the size) and I've got severe love handles and gynecomastia :( :( :( - this is causing me great distress - yes especially the nips!. All this is really depressing me, but since discovering this forum, I'm committed to do something about it. I hate giving up!!! At my lightest (about 7 years ago), I was 66kgs and fighting fit!

Anyways, I need help:

(1) what's the best supplement out there for fat-shredding/burning? is it clenbutrx liquid / capsules? what about yohimburn?

(2) can I combine both clenbutrx + yohimburn? what is the best ratio/combination?

(3) I'm taking hydoxycut at the moment, but I don't think it works on me...

(4) what about ECA stacks? what is the best product out there? is it different from the clen / yohimburn thing?

(5) what is the best and cheapest place to order the above products online at at discount? I live in Singapore so the online dealer needs to be able to ship it to Singapore....this is very important as I really need to order some stuff and have it shipped to me by next week!

(6) I know the basics formulat of diet and exercise and intake < output but it's very difficult after being sedentary the past 10 months...

I really need to lose weight immediately (I've got a hypertension as well, altho' I believe I can beat it!)...

sorry if it seemed like I didn't do searches on the products - it's just that I don't really have access to a fast pc - the one I'm using is a dinosaur....

apologies....but I hope forumites will be patient and help me with my queries....I just read a post for newbies, esp in relation to asking for a source - I hope that's with reference to restricted products??? As I've never ordered supplements online before, I hope someone will help....

To answer your question an ECA stack is an ECA stack. The main difference is what else a company will put in it's product. You can cheaply buy each seperate component and then take whatever amount of each you want. Clenbutrx liquid has some good reviews but you could make your own version for most likely cheaper if you shopped around.

I usually just buy the cheapest ECA stack I can find. Ripped fuel is a good name brand that works, I tend to buy this stuff called "Extreme Lean" from Wal-Mart. It works no better than other products I've tried and it's like 1/3 the price. Then I can add Yohimbine HCL, 5-HTP, etc.. to my liking.

Before you get too excited just be aware that diet supplements don't add up to much of the weight loss you will achieve. There is no magic pill, the majority of the weight lost will be from your diet and training efforts. The dieting supplements tend to amplify your efforts to a degree but they sure as hell don't work by themselves. If this is your first time dieting I'd suggest doing it without any supplements at first and the weight will still fly off. Then as it slows down you can add them in to help out. Also save the Yohimburn. It doesn't work that well until you get down to a more manageable bodyfat %.

I suggest just following a simple diet and training regimen and I gurantee the weight will fly off at first. I was in a similar position to you about 3 years ago. I managed to lose about 45 pounds in 14 weeks. I didn't even add ECA until the very end and I only did so because I caught it on sale. I worked with weights 3x per week, cardio 3x per week and I did NOT low carb diet. 99% of the population don't have to resort to low carb diets to lose weight, just a moderate reduction and a change of carbs you ingest is enough. I also enjoyed a free day once a week during this time period and it didn't slow me down at all.

Fact is when you're as out of shape as you claim to be, the weight will fall off without any help. Don't worry about adding supplements and extreme measures until you get to a point where you need them.

just apply the Yohimburn 3 times a day to your problematic areas, like lower abs and love-handles, take clenbutrx (if you must) 3 times a day, once before cardio, once before workingout and once before a meal

ECA stack is basically Ephedrine/caffeine/aspririn, nothing special about it....clan is a derivative of Ephedrine, clen/yohimburn, I'm not sure that's the best combo. I would say ECA/yohimburn/ALA/5-HTP would be

hmmmm, I know www.beyond-a-century.com has great deals on ALA....www.anabolicfitness.com (the AF store) is giving away a free bottle of NYC w/ every Yohimburn purchase...... I think someone posted (I checked it out) a site w/ clenbutrx, I can remember of the top of my head, I'll look it up

I think you should try a well balanced diet, ZONE like, where you're eating (weight x12 calories) 40% protein/30% carbs/30% fat, that's for now, just to get you back on track of eating right....
proteins should come from lean sources like fish/chicken/turkey...carbs must be low-gi like oatmeal/brown rice/pasta/yams.....fats must be healthy EFA's like flaxseed oil/olive oil / salmon is a good choice....

here is my 2 cents
Its not about the products- its about the lifestyle change. You said you know about the proper diet and workout programs. Start there. I too was a fat slob, and I spent more time looking for the magic bullet than I did excercising and shopping for the proper foods. once I got into the gym and started feeling better about myself the rest became easy. Take a look under my earlier thread SWOLECAT the proof is in the pudding- I was in real bad shape.
in addition to hard work and diet I also take hydroxycut, ALA and a few others.
Good luck getting back into shape you can do it.
