I need a good (fairly intuitive) program for handling photos, graphics, logos etc.

Basically what I need is a decent place to edit and design photos, company logos for line cards, product specs sheets, websites and the like.

Is photoshop elements a decent program for that or am I barking up the wrong tree?

For some reason I am getting stuck with designing the company website and other marketing crap.

I use photo shop all the time. I think its a great program once you can learn all the tricks it is great for photo and internet pages.

Photoshop is great but not intuitive and overkill just for editing photos. Photoshop Elements will do that fine. MS Publisher might be better for creating logos, at least til you are good enough to know what you're doing.

Thanks DT I'll take a look at ms publisher. Photoshop is a bit over my head for now.

I am trying out Fireworks mx2004 for now and trying to learn slowly.

I still can't find the buttons for Differential Pressure, Weight on Bit, Pump Strokes and Rotary speed yet though.

My brother is a graphic artist and he uses some crazy programs that I can't even begin to use. I'll ask him, or you could just hire him (yes this is a shameless plug for my bro).

Cheers,
