I usually take it with a little milk, but on mornings like this morning: big heavy thick diner-type mug, steaming and black.

It's a workboot and flannel days these days, at least figuratively. Things to break down, many things to build. Hands to work, hearts to love.

'flannels' has a goofy image in my head of me in my nightshirt (yes, nightshirt, cobalt blue and charcoal tartan, actually) and Sorels in the snow chopping a few for the fire... you learn very quickly how cold a cold breeze really is...

We had a week or so of bitter cold and hard pack snow everywhere, the kind that sqeeks when you walk on it? Love it. Right now? Freezing rain/rain, slushy yuck-fest, but no big deal, blue skies ahead.

Headed to western mass for turkey day, hope we get some snow!
