personally i'd rather someone refer to me as east asian..oriental is for objects..things...not people

but agian, i'm not pissed or anything, most people dont know thats how most east asians feel. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in on that.

Plus another history lesson for any korean you might meet:

Racist people like to call korean people "gooks" which makes no sense as a racial slur. Why? During the Korean war, when US was helping south korea (where my folks are from) the american soldiers would come into the poor ass villages and bring candy and treats for the little kids. The Korean word for americans is "me-gook" So when the americans came, the kids would scream "ME GOOK ME GOOK" but the american soldiers thought the kids were saying "me, as in saying I am, Gook"

So thats where that slur came from.. So the slur good doesnt mean korean people at all. It means american people.
