Hey Needsize got a question!!

Just watched that video pretty impressive. Just wondering if you would not mind sharing what your work routines are like. and also your diet while your off to put on size and how you diet to get shredded like that.

Also want to know what you do for them abs. and one more thing what kind of gear do you use if you dont mind.
 
I believe from reading one of needsizes posts he does a 5x5 ab routine on a decline bench. I've tried it and it works the abs really good. Do 5 sets of 5 reps on a decline going down slowly and holding it for 5 seconds then go back up slowly. I usually use a 25lb weight doing it, works em a lot harder. Go down about 3/4 of the way, dont rest your back on the bench and keep your abs tightened.
 
My training is generally a variation of the 5x5 routine, I'll post a link. Currently doing something more like Yates approach, 3 or so exercises, 2 sets each to complete failure

Diet in the off season is just 7-8 meals a day, at least 50 grams of protein in each one. At this point I dont worry about fats as I seem to need extremely high calories to grow. The diet for the show was just super clean, oatmeal, tuna, chicken, whey, potatoes and EFAs. No cheating, and very little cardio.

Gear changes with each cycle, I am always trying to find something new that will work. Right now running a combo of eq/deca/enth that is working well. The contest stack was originally just eq and enth, by the end it was masteron/anavar/winny

just to add to NS response, no one routine will work for everyone. they key for me has been to try different approaches all the time. if you're not making gains, strenghts or size, its probably time to switch routines.

when i fist met needsize, a few years ago, i decided to try his 5x5, and to tell you the truth, i dint like it much, it was too much volume for me, but i worked very well for him. and there are lots of guys at our gym that are using some form of the 5x5 and works for them, even my GF is on it now. hahah

Needsize, do you incorporate sq and dl in your 5*5 routine? Nothing sucks more than 5*5 sq day, a real bitch...
