This may be a dumb question. Most of mine are. :p

When you say "parallel dips", does this mean the grip needs to be on parallel bars, or your upper arms need to go parallel to the floor?

I'm adding dips to my routine next week, but I'm going to be using a couple sawhorses, so it'll be an inverted v for the grip. Nice because I can widen the grip just by moving back a little.

Good question!!

Actually thats an old term that no one uses. Its a standard dip.

Parallel is referring to the arms reaching a parallel position to the floor in the down position.

We can ignore parallel and use the term dips.

Sorry for the confusion.

I still use the term french press when everyone else uses skull crushers as the term.

I never liked the term skull crushers either, but after I caught the top of my head with the corner of a hex dumbell the other day....:xeye:
