I know some peeps in Kentucky that call their Walmart right over the river in Indiana Wallyworld too! LOL

Yep, we've got a Walmart here. But it's dirty & nasty. It's a ghetto Walmart.

Nothing is ever on the shelves, it's a mess, etc..... They're redoing it -- very very slowly....

I thought only people in Kentucky & Tennesee, etc called Walmart "Wallyworld." Thought it was a saying there....

Like, yes my puter chair broke but it wasnt my fault.......well maybe it was, i was the one that put it together.but it was the back of it and all that was holding the back on was a piece of plastic.....
well hammy just wanted me to buy the same one but he said it wouldnt break cuz he would fix it......and it was like 30 bucks.....well i had decided i wanted the nice one with the arms and a good back on it.......and i got it no matter how much he griped. and its nice too

I go to Walmart to buy cat food & cat litter mostly, along with some household items...

'Round here, people are anti-Walmart. Everytime they go to put a new one up somewhere, there's an uproar & protesters, etc...... There's an existing building near here that used to have a Kmart & they want to put a Walmart in it. Don't know if it'll ever get done.....

Well in our town, when they built the new walmart, of course it has a grocery store in it. They, the ppl of walmart, took some sort of poll asking if they wanted walmart to sell liquor or beer or whatever, and they said no.......and they dont sell it......i live right in the middle of the bible belt and ppl appreciate walmart for doing that. I think that is one big reason they shop there and why that walmart is a huge success. Also, a food lion opened up there, brand spankin new, and they sell beer and wine coolers and such.......and they closed down a few years ago......because people would not shop there

None of our grocery stores here or anything sell beer/wine, etc...... we've got liquor stores instead & they open @ noon on Sundays now.... that was a big deal -- allowing the liquor stores to be open on Sundays.

But a lot of people were driving to Maryland on Sundays, etc to get liquor cuz they are allowed to be open on Sundays.

LOL I remember going to Dallas once for work & where I stayed was in a dry county. It was weird.

In New Orleans we have "drive through" daquiri shops that sell drinks through the window.

We can buy wine, beer, and hard liquor at the grocery store.

Also have many bars that are 24/7.
