Hey Guys....How messed up is this?

I have a very close business and personal friend of 21 years and about 2 years ago his wife left him for another woman. They have three kids with the oldest being 13 years old and the youngest being 6 years old. The day she left him, she went to the bank and withdrew all of their savings(I don't know how much they had) and she also withdrew all of the money from another saving account that was a college fund they had for their kids(about $30,000.) She ran off with her girlfriend and wound up blowing all of the money on drugs and shit.

She filed for divorce and it was a very bitter divorce. She flat out lied her way through the hearings and the final proceedings and the divorce was granted and she wound up with the kids. The final proceedings were finalized about a year ago.

Here's the messed up part if that wasn't enough. Our state recently started a lottery and they had a special lottery where they printed only 20 GP(Grand Prize) tickets and anybody who happened to purchase one of these tickets, had to validate it and a special drawing would be held April 15, 2002. The least amount any person would win is $10,000 and the most would be $100,000.

He happened to get one of those tickets and so today he had to be present for the Grand Prize drawing. They had 17 contestants and each person had a number and they would be reduced until only two were left.

My telephone rang this evening around 6:40 and it was him and he told me he had made it to the final stage and either him or the other person was going to win the $100,000. He told me to turn on the TV and watch the drawing. He didn't win it but he did win $25,000. After Uncle Sam got finished with it, he took home $16,500.

I called him later this evening to congratulate him and when he answered the phone, he sounded good but something was bothering him. He said the phone had not stopped ringing since he had gotten home and in fact, somebody was on call waiting as I was talking to him. I asked him, "who" and he said his ex-wife. She was calling him, asking him, if he was going to share that money with her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a bitch!!!!!!!!

I´ve heard stories like that a few times.
Don´t give a dime to the bitch!!!!
I´d rather burn the money on my backyard than giving it to someone who´s treated me like that :(

I told him, if he gave her any of the money, I was coming over there and burn his house down! LOL! I am going to call him in the morning and talk with him again and see what he has in mind.

This gal has beefed up quite a bit since she left. They were married 15 years. It's a messed up situation. My friend is a great guy. Very unassuming and just a good guy all around. We are very close as friends and confidants, even to the point that he has entrusted everything he has to me in case something happens to him prematurely.

Get a shovel and a .38, everyone will be happier and he'll get to raise his kids. By no means should he share, he should save and invest since she took the college money for his kids and left....
