Most make it seem like the gov is incapable of doing its job.

Hey, not everything a president does is bad, not everything they do is good....this is a good thing...'yay bush'... but there are many other things I am very unhappy about....

Good point. Very true.

Unfortunately the die hard left wouldnt concede this point. Just like the far right will never admit that CLinton did great things for this country.

umm....dont you guys read? The CIA and FBI did not capture this guy....THE PAKI's DID....

They havent even turned him over to the americans yet.

And before you say that homeland security is doing their job...let someone else smuggle another knife or gun on an airplane. How many inspectors have gotten them through?

PLEASE! we are not safe....dont kid yourself.

The CIA helped locate him, and FBI agents participated in the raid. He is now in American hands somewhere overseas being interrogated.

Shit. I always figured it would be my wholesome good looks, positive demeanor, and mature sense of humor rather than my ability to read several news sources that would make me popular.:)

Nope. In the end it is your basic ability to grasp common sense.

guys.....

The US is interogating him....but the pakis have not turned the terrorist over to the americans yet.\

****PAKIS COUGHT HIM - proof?

Pakistan said its agents arrested Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, described by U.S. officials as one of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden (news - web sites)'s "most senior and significant lieutenants," and two other al Qaeda suspects at a house in Rawalpindi early on Saturday.

****JOINT INTERROGATION - Proof?

Rashid Qureshi, spokesman for Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, said Mohammed was still in Pakistan being jointly questioned by Pakistani and U.S. agents.

*****HAVE NOT TURNED HIM OVER TO THE US - Proof?

Earlier, a government official who did not want to be identified said Khalid had been handed over to U.S. custody shortly after his arrest, along with the two other suspects.

Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat denied this:

"Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is in the custody of Pakistan's law enforcement agencies and until we have satisfied ourselves, after the interrogation process, of the nature of his activities in Pakistan, there is no question of handing him over to anyone," he said.

****And here is the REUTERS ARTICLE THAT I GOT IT FROM:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...e=1&u=/nm/20030302/ts_nm/pakistan_qaeda_dc_26

Well, at least the feds "accepted" custody of him. You'll remember that the Clinton Administration declined custody of bin Laden when Sudan offered to turn him over. Then we bombed their pharmaceutical plant. At least Clinton had a change of heart ...And Condoleeza, bless her lame little memory, can't seem to recall her meeting with Sandy Berg in which he informed her of the urgent new plan to track and arrest bin Laden. I guess she was busy with more pressing matters.

I want to hear you apologize for what you said to sust-man.

You know that you already look stupid enough without being a pussy and not admitting when you are wrong.

I don't think lincoln is really wrong here. SUST-MAN was quoting news stories, but it seems like he is implying that the US wasn't responsible for catching this guy, nor will we get custody. I think this is intellectually dishonest.

I didnt imply anything.

All i said was that We do not have custody of him....and we are interrogating him...but its not like the CIA set up a sting operation and cought him single handedly because of homeland security.

The only way to catch terrorists is to beef up the CIA agents in the field and have them hire paid informants deep within terrorist organizations.

Clinton destroyed the CIA while in office.....now, thank god, Bush is giving them more funding.

I'm not a big BUSH fan when it comes to foreign policy (i think you all know that by now) But i gotta give him credit where its due.

we do not have an extradition treaty with pakistan. case closed. the paki's still own him, we're most likely borrowing him and keeping him in afghanastan or kuwait.

I do believe that we will eventually get him....but i'm afraid of retaliation from other cells because of it.

What if people start getting kidnapped and held for ransom until he is released?

Maybe i'm watching too many movies..but is what i say THAT insane?
