Hey camera phone people.

New member
So I got a new phone (motorola razr v3) and it's a camera phone amongst other things. So I took some pics (not of girls  ) that I want to transfer to my computer. I tried sending via e-mail but couldn't get it to work. I have the bluetooth link on my phone but not on the comp. So my question is how do I get the pics off my phone and onto the comp?

Cheers,

why cant you email them??,,do you have mobile web on your phone?? sometimes you have to be connected to send the pictures.

I bought the $60 cable thinkignit would work as a simple as a digicam
nope gotta send the pics vis e-mail
the cable is for hooi
king the laptap up wireless style

For Motorola phones, Motorola has a data cable and software (Motorola Mobile Phone Tools) that you can use to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer, and from the computer to the phone. It's a little bit pricey though - you can probably find a generic, non-brand name one with the same capabilities for a bit cheaper.

I have the data cable for my v300 and used it to upload pictures taken with the phone to the computer, and to transfer ringtones and pictures to the phone.

i know that there is a way to hook up a cable to your phone to comp to transfer them but i'm not really good with technology so i don't know much about that way...

if you're looking to send 2-3 pics only that you really LIKE...send a "PIX" message and put the pic of choice and for send to just type the email address (rather than a destination #) ie: [email protected] (or something of that nature lol) gotta make sure you type the entire email....@yahoo + .com and all...i have verizon...and it works for me...it SHOULD work the same for you....try it and let me know if it works :rolly:

USB cable from phone to pc...
or via web. Don't know if you got this feature, but my phone's got an option where I can send straight to my online album w/out cables, etc...

Thanks for the replies people, I haven't set up the web feature so that's why I can't e-mail. I'll try the pix message thing today and see if it works.

Did your provider give you online album space?

Get a bluetooth adapter for your computer. It's the easiest solution unless the phone came with a USB cable to plug straight in.

Here in the UK, bluetooth adapters cost around a tenner from Dabs. There must be somewhere local or mail-order you could get one pronto.

I have no idea, I'll have to check into that.

Blut- Yeah that's an idea, now if only I can figure out how to make work pay for it I'll be golden.

you don't need to set up email- send yourself a multimedia message. go to messages and you should find a link to something like "send SMS" or send "multimedia message".
you should be able to attach the picture.
OR, go to the picture and hit the menu. it should have an option to "send". use that and type in your email addy and hit ok.

Being the supreme genious that I am I failed to notice the "send to album" feature when I first attempted to send the pic. Now that I have found this feature I have sent the pic I wanted to my album and have downloaded it.

Thanks again for all the help peeps.

Do you have a digital camera? Most digital cameras use (and come with) mini-usb cables. They're universal so you can just try one of those.

I use a digi-cam from work and as far as I know there aren't any cables with it(probably lost).

Unfortunately most phones use completely non-standard adapters at the phone end. If they are selling cables for a small fortune you can guarantee that the interface is non-standard in every way they could think of.
