Do a search bro.. You will find a thread by me A poll actually. More than 75% of people.

I don't even think about it. Just part of the procedure, - and when it comes to "time" and something being injected into my body - I will always welcome a few extra seconds just for peace of mind.................

question: why would you not? it takes no extra time, keeps you safe. it would be STUPID not to.
I always do, never really think about it until i pulled a syrange full of blood back, then I remembered why I do

didnt till i found this forum, and realized how important it is.

IMHO, that's a lot like drinking and driving. You may be able to keep between the lines on the road most of the time, but sooner or later, you are going to veer off of the road and kill yourself.

Just my $.02

I would NEVER stick myself without aspirating bro...

i just think it's pure lazyness not too....it takes half a second to aspirate and ensures a flawless injection

I DO I DO....Why wouldnt you? Its already in there, all you have to do is pull on the damn thing. Your just damn lazy if you dont.

why NOT aspirate? even thou hospitals dont do it and i know they doctors dont always do it , it is still proper protocol, period

bulls eye.... can you say "spring break"?

No, not "spring break". Im not one of those kids. Whatever like I really care what you think.
So somebody asks a question and they are automatically some kid who wants to get big for spring break. You have no idea what I look like or nothing. I hate how some people start acting like such experienced and veteran users after a little while on this board and they think they can act like big shots. Just becuase someone is knew to the board doesnt necessarily mean they're a newbie. I probably aspirate without even knowing it...so whatever guy.

no one's a noob just because they are new around the boards and i didn't imply it and nor did anyone else. there are bro's here who have been around for as little time as you have but we already know them to be vets because of the kind of posts they make.

hey bro i just re-read your post and i realized that i misunderstood. i thought you were calling the thread starter a noob.
to answer your question: aspiration - once the pin is in the muscle you pull the plunger out a bit and if everything's ok then you should see some air bubbles enter the syringe. if you see blood then you've hit a vein and should pull out and try again. make sure you do this as a rule every time you inject. it is proper medical practice and i for one have actually seen docs follow this procedure. hope that helps and sorry for the bad blood. :)

Its alright bro....thank you and my apologies. So, what if there is blood in the syringe...then what do you do? Its never happened to me but now im curious.....

if there's blood in the syringe it means that you've just drawn from a vein. had you injected instead of aspirating, you would have injected into it (AAS is supposed to be intra muscular, which means it HAS to be shot into a muscle not a vein which would make it intravenous). i'm not sure just how dangerous that is but i've heard you get a real NASTY feeling within 15 mins if that happens. instead, you would take the syringe out, change the needle if you don't like the bluntness, find another spot and try again. that simple - just takes a few seconds extra.

I'm so so sorry...I know its not ideal, and I know I'm going to catch shit for it...but I always forget to aspirate...

Don't be like me kids...

Aspirate!
