i was reading a story today called the 'first men' and it brought up a really cool idea (its not a pulp fiction story and theres alot to be learnt from it so i recommend you pick it up),
u know how those little kids who get picked up by wolves /monkeys and basically live out their entire lives in the company of those creatures? they become feral and untamable- completely alien to human custom , languages, ideologies, thoughts etc etc. they ARE basically nothing more than a wolf , a monkey , a bear etc etc. theyre just as wild as those creatures are because thats all theyve known and this upbringing has effected them for as long as they can remember. upon being reintroduced to human society these children take years to relearn everything about humanity and are years behind normal child developement.
so what if there was a 'super human" a child born that is something more than human. to its lineage we would be it's wolf/monkey/bear and our society the jungle. just like the wolf kids what if the way society reared them have made them feral and primitive. to us he seems normal , just like you and i, but inside him is superiority that can never be untapped because we have stunted his developement.
OR
what if we are all super humans and capable of something more , but because of this social upbringing that includes religion, taboos and whatnot, we are all stunted and held back by ourselves.. and we dont even know it. somewhere say, 5,000-10,000 yrs ago we inadvertedly slowed down our evolution?
to those wolf children the wolf society was the norm. human society was alien. eating raw meat was normal, but wearing clothes was not. but what if this normal society that weve come to be so familiar with is some other being's (say an evolved human) forrest and our homes were caves/wolf dens. what if to them we were feral? if we were to be brought into their society like the wolf kids, everything about them would be entirely alien to us, and it would be very hard to accept their norms and their superiority.
