Sweet. Have fun. We just have a pile of tornados rip through here last week. Many many homes are either completely detroyed or unihabitable. Good times.

Let's hope for your sake it washes every illegal Cuban back to Havanna.

LOL. There are no illegal Cubans. Thanks to "pie seco" (dry foot) law, as soon as they step on American soil, they recieve a greencard automatically. And most of them are good people.

yeah but the good thing is that we get a little vacation!
 :dance2:

Ive got mixed feelings about Katrina. Im in Boston for a few weeks w/ work and I missed all the good wind for kitesurfing in FL.

Everyone at my office got off work Thurs morning thru Monday.. I missed out on some free days and good wind..

Here, in central FL,we just got a little wind and rain, Thank god. I had to replace a roof and window last hurricane season.

Possibly but it looks like its heading west of me closer to the Louisiana/Mississippi line.

Looks like it is wrapping up nicely and strengthening. Bad news for New Orleans if it comes in there. If it comes in more towards Alabama/Mississippi...chance that it will weaken before making landfall like the recent ones that came ashore there.

More west towards LA, chances are it won't weaken. Bad news all the way around regardless. This hurricane sure did spring up fast and caught a lot of people off guard.

Good luck to anyone in it's path.

It's coming to close for comfort for me. i'm like an hour 45 from the ms/la state line, in Miss. And being on the east side of the stom is the worst side to be on. I'm so sick of these damn storms, I'm so ready to friggin' move.

No i haven't evacuated. I don't think we're leaving. We're a good 10 miles from the beach and it looks like it's going to hit N.O. I just hope that there is no one from N.O. that is staying. That place is going to be underwater after this is all said and done.

Wasn't sure exactly where you are at. They are expecting near Hurricane force winds all the way to Mobile. They also are really worried about the storm surge and if its going to arrive with High Tide.

I'm in gulfport, yeah we're definately getting some hard winds and stuff. Being on the E side of the storm is about the 2nd worst place to be.
