just because they have talent doesn't mean they don't get burned or play consistently well.
2010 NFL Team Passing Stats - National Football League - ESPN
pats rank 31st, which is 2nd to last (to the texans lol) in passing yards given up per game at 290 yards.
they're also tied for 27th in yards per attempt given up.
opposing QB's average a 94.8 QB rating against them.,among the worst in the league.
Also near the bottom in touchdowns given up through the air.
All these numbers are not a coincidence.
The only thing that your defense does well through the air, that may not make the stats seem as bad, is get picks. They're top 10 in that....although i think chad henne and peyton manning are responsible for 50% of those.
so yeah, your secondary is vulnerable. i wish i had more stats but im willing to bet a large amount of that production comes from the wideouts.
jets are middle of the road in the categories i mentioned , but those numbers are skewed because of tight end production which ultimately falls on coverage breakdowns the linebackers or safety.
Only two wide receivers have had breakout games this year against the jets. 1 was brandon marshall when revis was hurt. The other was nate burleson who picked on drew coleman in the slot against detroit.
