) i can tell you that eating 500cal/day is a quick road to death via lots of suffering. i personally ate less than 500, sometimes NOTHING for up to 5 or 6 daysd at a time, was so weak i could barley walk up a set of stairs, lost my libido for over a year, hair started falling out etc. you have to step in and hit your mate right in the head, knock some sense into him/her. that is not the way to loose weight, eat 500cals less per day, and do lots of steady state cardio, heavy weight training and keep a high protein diet at all times, hell i eat 1000cals a day of JUST protein, with my fats and carbs as extra and i'm cutting aggressivly right now.
