help with 5x5

Ive been doing DC, and loved it...but also liked 5x5, and to keep things fun am going back to it for a while. Also though, I like DC because I can hit the same muscle group 2x a week and still recover, is there any possible way that any of you think i could do this with 5x5? All I can think of is, is to lower the volume down a litlte bit maybe like 3x5 with one accessory, and do more than 1 body part per day....but im sure lots of you think this will still be too much volume, any thoughts?
 
I think it's pretty tough to meld the two together. 5x5 is inherently not meant to be taken to failure on every set. If you cut down to 3x5 with a single 2x8-10, you might be able to do 2 muscle groups each day, thus allowing you to train each muscle group somewhat more often, assuming you still stay on a 3 or 4 day per week routine. Personally I think I could probably fit everything in in 3 days if I cut the volume down like I listed above. That would leave me an extra day each week to start the routine over (since I run a 4-day split). I'm not sure it would work though.
 
depends, i was hitting muscle groups 2x a week until work started and i couldnt anymore. I was seperating them by 3 days, and i had enough recovery time.
