help please!

I hope Jenetic or DRJMW have some feedback, 21 yrs old, 1st cycle ever, 8 wks of test and enanthate, going on week 7 and have noticed some slight swelling and discomfort at times, not constant, in the strands connecting to my left testicle which usually subsides after 10-15 minutes, but only occurs briefly 3-4 days before my next injection and then im normal till the next week? i have all my stuff ready for my PCT and started taking 6-oxo to help combat my water retention. No Gyno, just slight water retention. But im hoping maybe the 6-oxo will help with both the problems, the retention and the periodical testicular discomfort because it claims to help restore natural testosterone production and Im wondering if the discomfort is due to the shutdown of my testicles. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

I have never known testicular pain to be directly associated with hypogonadism. The symptoms you have described may suggest a varicocele.

Varicocele is attributed to enlarged varicose veins which cause a benign source of scrotal swelling. Blood backs up in the veins leading from the testicles because of a problem with valves inside the veins. The swelling is usually painless, and the area feels like a bag of worms. The varicocele itself isn't serious, but it may contribute to infertility. Left sided varicoceles are found in 85% of men with this problem.

Regardless, I would recommend visiting a Urologist for a proper examination and diagnosis.

That prognosis seems to fit right along the lines with my symptoms, and like i said its not painless and your explanation makes complete sense. A friend of mine that i work with in the hospital, i work as an intern for the administrator, who described something similar, thanks alot, you have been the most help through out my first cycle and like i said appreciate it a lot. It's difficult to tell by your description without being more specific with anatomy, but another more common possibility is Epididymitis.

Epididymitis is an acute infection in the tubular coil that collects sperm from the testes produces pain in the top and rear of the scrotum. The pain is generally severe and develops gradually over several hours or days and is readily treatable with antibiotics.

I recently talked to my father about the problem since we are in between health care providers and he said that around this age he developed the same problem which was diagnosed as varicocele which for him has hardened somewhat over the years. I think with my increased blood flow and pumps is what causes the backup of blood in the veins, because it is not constant, very periodical. I am still in the process of seeing my physician for a proper diagnosis, but Im wondering if father like son? Thanks Jentic
