Dammit, so i got some photos to put up here, but im having major problems. i used a camcorder to take stills and the software saves the stills as .mpg. how the fuck do i get the still saved as a .gif? please get back to me

I have never done this with mpgs before, but with most images if you open them you can click save as and change the type of file it is.

TRY RENAMING THE STILLS AS 'JPG' AND OPENING THEM IN PAINTBRUSH. MAYBE THEY ARE ACTUALLY JPEGS BUT JUST HAVE AN MPEG EXTENSION.

maybe you can do a snapshot of your video while it is playing and save the snapshot on to your hard drive. of course, you will need a media player to do this, although I don't know if most media players do this. I know power dvd does this:rolleyes:

ive tried all that shit. no luck. there has to be someone here that knows how to take a frame out of an animation and save it as .gif...smalls, arent you the photoshop motherfucker, how can i do it?

well if all isnt working, just open it in whatever program it opens in, hit the print screen button next to f12, then open photoshop or whatever it is you are using, and open a new image, and paste from clipboard, and you'll have a screenshot, and you can edit the picture out and paste it in a new image. Thats a last resort

yeah, i was hoping i could keep some quality though to the pics. i know there is a way, cause i see people with avatars from cartoon shows and shit.

they are already in mpg format. do i need a certain kind of card? can you do it for me if i send you them?

oh my lord....will someone please help this poor young man post his pics (I've seen them....he's bent over wearing a thong...said something about wanting to show off his brazilian)

You don't need adobe premier to do this. That's like saying you need photoshop to resize a pic. This can be done with Quicktime 5.0. Download it if you don't already have it. It's free. You can open mpgs with it. They must be converted, but it's quick and then you can export single frames to bitmaps. Then convert the bitmap to a jpeg. It's not too hard.

just did it.
