Has anyone ever had really bad poison ivy or oak? I have it all over my arms!! I look like something out of the fly! Did any ever have it bad. If so what did you do? I dont know how to get rid of it. I bought calimine lotion. Not doing shit!

Never had it but there's lotion you can get for it......you can't "get rid of it"....I think it just runs it course.

Take some benadril, sounds like you are having a allergic reaction. I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV but it could help and it wont hurt you to try it.

No, I had to move about 150 cynder(spelling) blocks that where in a headro. I thought it looked like poison ivy but didnt know for sure. I heard of using bleach before to dry it out. I dont know.

Yeah I looked there and it seems like it may be painful. It sounds like hot water will help though. I am going to go boil some water now and pour it onto my arms!! Joke. Thanks for that link though. It had a lot of good info.

hahaa. same. ive never had it. i could seriously beat off in a huge bush of poison ivy while i was butt naked and nothing would happen to me.

i had a real bad allergic reaction that gave me a red rash all over my arms and various other areas. got real bad, so i got a benadryl shot at the emergency room and they gave me a script for methylprednisone. plus knocked down benadryl tabs like candy. went away eventually. still get a little breakout here and there. not sure WTF it is.

There is a Benadryl lotion that helps if it covers LOTS of territory (say 10% of you body) go to the hospital and they will give you a shot of dyphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Cortizone.

Corticosteroids is what the doc will give you. most likely in shot form. you can pick up some cortizone cream at the store.

I am highly allergic to poison ivy, so i know some about it
