HELP!! No appitite after training!!

Is there anyone out there with this problem and if there are any "tricks" you have encountered that helps. I mean I have what I call a negative appitite after training. If I try to eat anything I feel really sick to my stomach.

I mean I train like a mad man and I'm actually hungry but cannot stomach food after I train for like 2 hours. I can force down a protein shake but that's about it. I know I'm missing out on gains by not being able to eat soon after training.

I have tried smoking weed and aside from not digging the feeling it actually gives me what I call a "weed-over" the next day so that's out of the question.

Any ideas? Thanks bros.

I don't know how much you're training, but it sounds like one of the symptom of over training.

thandie is very correct, loss of appetite can be attributed to over training. how often do you train, how long for, and how much rest do you get a day?
how long has this lack of appetite been affecting you-is it only after training, or do you experience it at other times?
and i dont think anyone would have seriously recommended that you try smoking weed to overcome this problem. chocolate milkshake and cookies aren't really the best post workout munchies.

Well unfortunately this issue sounds like something I'm just gonna have to deal with. I have dealt with it for a long time. I am not over training or HIGHLY doubt that I am. I have always had hunger issues and it's much easier for me to not eat than it is to eat. I've always had this problem it's nothing new. Sorry to dismiss this so quickly but aside from almost 2 years off I have been training for 10 years and know my body. To give you an idea I train 3 days a week, most of the time Mon, Wed, Fri. I do 2 body parts a day and 15min cardio after in the low intensity range. I get at least 7hrs sleep at night, most of the time 8-9hrs(I love sleep).

To comment about the "herbal remedy" I know quite a few people who do that for appetite after so it's more common than you think and very effective. Plus no one said anything about a milkshake and cookies after wards so I'm not 100% sure where that falls in anyway.

Like I said, I didn't know if there was someone out there like me who has a hard time continually shoving food down his throat anyway that have found something that helps them out especially after training.

From the time I was a kid, I suffered from lack of appetite, so I know what you're talking about. I couldn't pass food down my throat for the life of me. This changed when I started to train. Suddenly, food was good. One thing that helped me was to get vitamin B-12 shots. I stopped for many years and re-introduced it again about 3 years ago. They help a great deal with appetite. It will also help with red cells since you're probably not getting enough nutrition in your system. Don't give up and think this is something you have to deal with. Eventually, you'll have some issues as a result of not getting enough nutrients.
