rebuilding, getting there

I downloaded the removal utility from adaware but it wont take it off. Keeps shutting adaware down when I run a scan.

I'd love to chop the guy to pieces who wrote that software. Fuck I'm sick of alert messages.

Pssst... it's allready on the computer, too late!

I don't know what virtumonde is but i have blocked dataminers a few times which were sending popups and slowing my computer down at the same time.

Then I was able to fix the problem futher.

What did you try to install that also installed virtumonde? You could go through and manually shut down the service that virtumonde is running. or go into safe mode without networking support and try to run adaware. Maybe the virtumonde service isn't running in safe mode.

I'm not sure. Maybe it was Daemon tools? Zone Alarm caught it but it seems to come back every time it's deleted. I found some FAQ type things about removing it, but they all openly stated the fix isnt universal. I have to get a hard drive enclosure kit to get all the data off of my old one. I'll probably just take this HD out, put it in the enclosure and try to clean it from a different computer when the OS isnt running from that HD. Think that will work?

That babality sig pic is awesome, aap. You should be able to burn all necessary documents to a cd or flash drive then wipe the drive. Unless you are worried about a major porn or mp3 collection. If you have those, always leave files like that on a seperate partition or drive. Makes it easier to wipe your system partition when needed.

I'm probably going back to Ubuntu Linux tomorrow, screw Bill Gates and his obviously vulnerable OS.

Bro, you gonna have to take a screwdriver and go after it like myway did.
